Article 99Regional minimum wages.

PD 442 · Labor Code of the PhilippinesELI5 guide available

ELI5— what this means for you

Your minimum wage is set by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board for your specific region — not by Malacañang, not by your employer. NCR has the highest rate. Paying below the regional minimum is illegal.

Key point

Minimum wage = regional, not national. Check RTWPB issuances for your region.
