Title XI — Summary Judicial Proceedings in the Family Law

Article 238

EO 209 · Family Code of the Philippines

ELI5— what this means for you

Summary judicial proceedings under the Family Code are designed to be quick and less formal than regular court cases. They are used for specific family law matters where speed and simplicity serve the family's interest — for example, presumptive death petitions and certain parental authority disputes.

Official text — EO 209
