The union that wins majority support in a certification election becomes the exclusive bargaining representative for ALL employees in the unit — including non-members. Workers also have the right to participate in policy decisions affecting their welfare through labor-management councils.
Key point
Even if you didn't vote for the winning union, they represent you. And you still have a right to raise grievances.
