Article 57
ELI5— what this means for you
The court will not grant legal separation if: (1) the aggrieved spouse consented to the act complained of; (2) the aggrieved spouse condoned the offense (forgave it and resumed cohabitation); (3) both parties gave grounds for legal separation (mutual fault); or (4) the aggrieved spouse connived with the other's misconduct.
